Fishing & Conservation

The Gullrock chain of lakes is famous for its abundance of Walleye and Northern. Our on-going priority has been to maintain and conserve our excellent fishing resource. "The Gullrock Policy" calls for the mandatory release of any Walleye over 18 inches and any Northern over 27 1/2 inches. These fish are our breeding stock and must be released immediately. Since the inception of this policy, there has been a dramatic increase in the number of fish being caught, both trophies and eaters. This policy is working, and our guests have the pictures to prove it. All big fish shown have been caught and released.

Walleye & Pike Fishing

Besides fantastic walleye and northern fishing, you will round out your catch with perch, whitefish and lake trout.

Equipment

We run 20 h.p. motors and 16 foot Lund boats, all with swivel seats.
All equipment is new (or like new) condition.

Conservation

 If you wish to mount that trophy Walleye or Northern, we highly recommend a replica mount. These are similar in price to a skin mount, but look nicer and last longer. You also have the added satisfaction of having released a beautiful fish back into the lake to give another angler the thrill of a lifetime.

Cabins

Clean comfortable large modern cabins feature carpeted living rooms with comfy furniture. Very modern kitchens complete with microwaves and coffee makers. Three piece bathrooms with lots of hot water, some cabins have two bathrooms. Our screened in porches or large decks provide unbeatable views of Gullrock Lake and the entire camp is serviced by a spring fed well with sparkling crystal clear drinking water. Semi-modern cabins are smaller and available at discounted prices. All cabins are fully equipped with bed linens, appliances, cooking utensils, etc. and are fully heated for your comfort.

How To Find Us

Our camp is located on Hwy 105, 12 miles south of Red Lake. From Fort Frances/International Falls travel by either Hwy 502 or Hwy 71 to reach Trans-Canada Hwy 17. Connect with Hwy 105 at Vermilion Bay and travel north 100 miles to our camp. We are 4 hours traveling time from the border.
